What is Rebound Technology Flooring?

Blue circle icon with a circle and curved lines indicating a floor with rebound technology.

Rebound Technology

Rebound Technology refers to how well a ball bounces from the floor. Devices are used to drop the ball from a predetermined height and measure the time between the first impact and second impact. Once this time has been determined the bounce height can be mathematically determined. This height divided by the initial drop height gives a percentage rebound. All other conditions are carefully controlled, such as ball pressure.Ā

Rebound Technology is a fundamental data point in most performance certifications.
