MFMA Northern Hard Maple
Flooring Grades

First Grade MFMA Northern Hard Maple: The highest standard grade. Extremely durable and desirable for any building, particularly suitable for fine homes, apartments, churches, clubs, dance floors, gymnasiums, handball and racquetball courts, school classrooms, hospitals, hotels, offices, roller skating rinks and other applications where fine appearance and long wear are desired. The face is practically defect free. Available in random length strips and finger jointed strip flooring, this grade is generally not produced for parquet flooring.  
Second & Better Grade MFMA Northern Hard Maple: This grade will provide the same long life and low maintenance performance as First Grade, Second & Better Grade is an ideal choice for gymnasium, handball and racquetball courts, multi-purpose rooms, school stops and cafeterias, industrial plants, offices, commercial buildings, and residences. This grade admits tight knots, slight imperfections and distinct color variations. Available in random length strip, finger jointed strip and parquet flooring.  
Third Grade MFMA Northern Hard Maple: This grade will provide excellent performance for gymnasium, multipurpose rooms, cafeterias, factories, warehouses and kindred uses where good wearing qualities are required together with medium cost and appearance. This grade may contain all defects common to maple, but the wood must be firm and serviceable. Available in random length strip, finger jointed strip and parquet flooring.
